Newark Jazz Festival is a company limited by guarantee. The festival
was launched with some success in 2006 by Newark business people Paul
Sparks of Sparks Marketing and Peter Duncan of The Corrieneuchin Comany
along with Newark-based jazz musicians Andrew Hall and Nathan Bray -
and the unpaid support of many others in its first year.

We’re always looking for volunteers around the time of the festival to
assist with the smooth running of the event.

The event was, and continues to be, the result of many partnerships in
and around the historic market town of Newark, involving local
businesses, local authorities, venues, and wider-reaching national and
regional organisations such as emda, Experience Nottinghamshire and The
East Midlands Jazz Consortium.

We hope to continue building long-term partnerships to ensure that the
event prospers and develops in future years.
